Dr. David Davenport
Dr. David Davenport graduated at the top of his class from the Temple University School of Dentistry. He continued his training at the Medical College of Georgia-Georgia Health Sciences University, where he completed a three-year residency in periodontics and dental implants, serving as chief resident his final year. Dr. David Davenport’s specialty program focused on periodontal and dental implant surgery, oral pathology, and overall periodontal care. During his residency training, Dr. David Davenport completed a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology and served the U.S. Military by providing periodontal care to veterans at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. He is currently and adjunct clinical professor at the Georgia Health Sciences University.
Certifications
Since completing his training, Dr. David Davenport has stayed at the forefront of his profession by attending a number of specialty training courses, including intensive courses at the Institute for Facial Esthetics for certification for computer guided implant treatment and “Teeth In An Hour.” A member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Georgia Society of Periodontologists and the Southern Academy of Periodontology, Dr. David Davenport regularly participates in national meetings which address current issues, trends and innovative treatment techniques. He has lectured nationally on issues relating to periodontal disease and regeneration and has served as an expert witness.

A distinguished leader in his field, Dr. David Davenport has been featured on “The Wellness Hour” to discuss issues related to periodontal disease and dental implants. His research involving periodontal regeneration was published in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology and has been recognized internationally. Named a “Top Dentist” by Atlanta Magazine, Dr. David Davenport resides in Peachtree City. An avid runner and trekker, he regularly spends his time supporting his children in local sports and performing community service.
